"Training that makes a memory makes a difference."
Shari is a training designer. She crafts training programs and teaches training design to others. The author of "Training Design Basics: From Concept to Completion in Five Simple Steps", Shari is a Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) through the International Society of Performance Improvement (ISPI).
Shari was first exposed to the instructional design profession when
she worked as an intern with the Zig Ziglar Corporation in 1995. Using
Zig's book entitled "See You At The Top", Shari was part of
a team which transformed Zig's philosophy into a 6-module video-based
training workshop. What a way to break into this business! Since that
time, Shari has performed instructional design in several industries,
including the electric utility, casino gaming, and hospitality industries.
The topics have varied greatly. Shari has designed training for computer
software, customer service, new employee orientation, sexual harassment,
OSHA HAZCOM, supervisory skills, emergency planning, instructional skills,
error reduction in the workplace, and chemistry.
Shari has a Bachelor's Degree in Health Physics from Purdue University
and Master's Degree in Teaching from Marycrest International University.
With a solid background in both the technology and soft skill worlds,
she can design effective training for you.
